profile of webmasterMy name is Rebecca. I graduated from Smith College in 2009. Being the oldest in my family, I did not have someone to turn to for college admissions advice. My senior year in high school I was lucky to befriend a sophomore in college who worked in admissions. She helped me write essays, decide who to ask for recommendations, choose the best colleges for me, and everything else that goes along with college applications. Now, I'd like to pass on everything I've learned to you.

I've been making websites since I was in middle school, but this is my first website with a true purpose. Since high school, relatives, friends, and friends of friends would ask me for advice on college admissions and I thought, why not share this advice with others? Though I've never worked directly in admissions, I've done a substantial amount of research and have various connections that have helped me gather information for this website.

My advice is geared towards students in high school and I understand that parents can be very involved in the college admissions process. For parents, I'd encourage you to check out this resource page.

If you have any questions about college, suggestions for this website, if you want to write a guest article, or if you just want to say "hi," you can contact me on Twitter, Facebook, or by email at info@makecollegereality.com.
